This is not a formal support channel of The Analytical Group. This is an independently run forum by Dimension Research, Inc. to provide a place for users to help other users. Although it’s not an official support channel, it is monitored by employees of The Analytical Group, and I’m sure you’ll see posts by them from time to time. You may be wondering why you should want to help others out with the knowledge you spent years accumulating? Well, no one knows every creative solution that’s been devised with these applications, and the more you share, the more others will be willing to share. So, if you see a message that you can answer, go ahead and answer it. It’s all about interaction! General Conventions In order to help mailing list members to read only those messages that interest them (by allowing easy message filtering), we ask that each of your messages begin with one of the following identifiers: [ANN], [Q], [WQ], [WC], [OFF], [LIST]. This way a WinCross-only user can just read messages that have [WC] in them. If someone forgot to include this in the subject, please add it when you are replying to it. Thanks. Here is a short description of what each one means.
How to Subscribe/Unsubscribe There are two basic ways to subscribe to the mailing list. You can subscribe by sending an e-mail or by using the web based subscription interface. Subscribe By E-mail To subscribe by e-mail, simply send an e-mail to the appropriate address listed below. The subject and the message do not matter. They can be blank if you want, they are ignored.
Subscribe By Web Interface Go to the following link: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TAGUsers and click on “Join This Group”. The web interface also provides a convenient means of reading posts without receiving them via e-mail. To use the web interface, you do need a Yahoo ID. About Your First Post Your first post to the group is moderated. Moderated posts are not sent to the entire group until approved. This was done because we often have people join the group simply to send spam messages to the entire group membership. Since their first post is moderated, these spam messages are not sent to everyone. Moderators are notified of new posts needing approval. If the post is a legitimate post, it will be approved and that user’s status will be changed to un-moderated so that future posts will be sent without any delay. elcome to the TAG Online Users Group. The purpose of this group is to create an online community for the users of The Analytical Group’s (TAG) products (WinQuery, WinCross, QueryWeb, etc.). Think of it as a year-long user conference, just without the sunshine of Phoenix! It provides a place for you to ask questions and learn how others are using the products, and help others based on your experience.
